Vacation Bible School Road Trip 2025
This summer, the VBS Road Trip took 24 passengers to places near, far, and closer to God! The focus verse for the week was from Joshua 1:9: “God is with you wherever you go.” The campers from SUM and First Church made crafts, listened to Bible stories, watched little skits based on those stories, did crafts, played games, sang, danced, formed new friendships, and went on three road trips.
We kicked off the trips on Tuesday, traveling to Windsor to take a Ninja Warrior class. On Wednesday, we had our longest road trip down to Brownstone Park, where the kids went zip-lining, swam on water obstacles, climbed rock walls, and had a blast. The group finished off the week with an excursion to Simsbury Farms, going to the park and the pool.
At the end of each day, we had tired, happy campers! It could not have been done without the help of Lucille Burke and Barbara Vasquenza in the kitchen, Cheryl Langin in crafts, and Deb Clifford serving one last year as our storyteller and audiovisual person. VBS Road Trip was a great success!
