Welcome Back Susannas!

After flourishing under the leadership of Lucille Burke, The Susannas are returning in September with a new leadership team:
Susan Thomson - Leader
Eileen Brogan - Communications
Marge Dixon – Hospitality
Lucille Burke - Finance
Sandy Lipscomb - Program Consultant

Just a reminder, The Susannas are named after Susanna Wesley (1669-1742), the mother of John and Charles Wesley. She was an intelligent woman who educated her 10 children at home and devoted an hour each week to each child for private, focused conversation.

We are all very excited about the upcoming year. Our new leader, Susan, has planned our first meeting on September 15th as a field trip to the Village for Families and Children located at 1680 Albany Avenue for a “Lunch & Learn.” This is an easy commute, but carpooling will be available from the church for those interested. Susan has many other exciting plans for The Susannas in the coming year so stay tuned.

Remember, all women (whether a member of SUMC or not), are welcome to join us. We typically meet in the Annex on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Watch The Messenger for times and locations of special events.
