Pledge Payments for 2026 On Track
The financial health of SUM has many interconnected, moving parts. One of the biggest parts is how well we all do in fulfilling our current year General Fund pledges. As we find ourselves three-quarters of the way through the year, this is a good time to take a look.
Total pledges made for the year are $363,930. As of September 30, we’ve received $254,532 in pledged donations. That’s 70% of the total, so overall we’re running just a bit behind schedule.
The details behind these results to date include some good news. Over 85% of those who have pledged for the year have paid some or all of their pledge. Collectively the members of this group have paid 75% of their pledged commitments for the year! You’re right on schedule. Thank you very much!
For those who haven’t yet made pledge payments, not to worry…there’s still plenty of time to do so, but please try to do so soon. If you don’t recall exactly what you’ve pledged, contact the church office and we’ll get you that information.
As a reminder, there are several ways to make your donation. Checks and cash are always welcome, of course. You can also make payments online by going to the church website and clicking on the “Donate” button.
Other ways of giving include donations of stock and contributions from qualified savings and retirement assets like 401(k) or IRA accounts. You can also give from donor- advised charitable funds.
Shortly we’ll be sending out to everyone an up-to-date giving statement for the year. It will include your pledged amount (if any) plus all amounts you’ve contributed during 2026, including but not limited to those designated for the 2026 General Fund.
Thanks to everyone for your gifts. They’re vital to the ongoing mission of SUM.
