Thank You!

To the parishioners of SUM,

My name is Ben Hakim-Pourkavoos; I’m a scout from Troop 174, and thanks to your help, I have just received my Eagle. My Eagle Scout project involved making backpacks full of hygiene products, first aid supplies, food, and other necessities, and distributing them to the homeless in our community. You may remember this past winter, when I set up a donation box in the church to collect items for this project. I was completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity the donation box received, and thanks to you all, I ended up with excess money at the end of the fundraising process. This allowed me to buy more food and useful items for those in need. We were able to make fifty backpacks and fifty bags of food, each of which contained 4-5 hearty meals worth of food.

This project would not have been possible without your help, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

With gratitude,
Benjamin Hakim-Pourkavoos, T174 Eagle Scout
