SUM Food & Fellowship
Join us this year for great food and great company!
SUM Food & Fellowship had a wonderful year last year as folks met and gathered over meals. Four times over eight months (Oct-Nov/Dec-Jan/Feb-Mar/Apr-May), about six to eight people assembled around the dinner table to laugh, tell stories, and get to know each other. We would love to have more of you join in the fun.
It is easy: the host prepares the main dish, and each of the three guests or couples brings either an appetizer, side dish, or dessert. Hopefully, each household will host once and be a guest the other three times.
Some questions: What if you would like to join the fun but cannot make the commitment to four dinners? You can be on the substitute list. When a guest is unable to attend, the host will contact a member on the substitution list. Don't have a space large enough for eight people? Ask one of your guests to be the stand-in. If the weather is good, meet outside. If not, meet at a restaurant, provided everyone agrees. Alternatively, if the church calendar is free (check with Deb Reid first), consider meeting in the Annex/Barn/Wesley Hall.
SUM Food & Fellowship is a special way to get to know each other - meet new people and connect with those who attend a different service time. There is room at the table for everyone - you can join as a single or a couple, you can join with a friend, or you can invite your neighbors. Truly, every dinner is a relaxing and enjoyable evening or afternoon.
After the sign-up deadline, I will send a welcome letter, a schedule of the fellowship groups, and the contact sheet.
Please join us for SUM Food & Fellowship! Sign up here or on the sheet in Wesley Hall.
Thanks,
Susan Samuel
