Youth Group

Hi friends!

It is so hard to believe that summer is coming to an end already, but I have a confession: I have always loved back-to-school season. When I was a child, it meant gearing up to see my friends again, wearing my new back-to-school clothes, and picking out and organizing all of my school supplies.  Now as an adult (and a teacher), it means the end of summer fun, yes, but a return to a normal routine and schedule, meeting new students and seeing returning students, school shopping for me and my kids, and the promise of pumpkins and Halloween right around the corner. And, of course, the return of youth group!

So, what is youth group, and who can come? Youth group is a time for the youth of our church to get together outside of Sunday service for fellowship and fun. We meet on Thursday nights from 6:00-7:30 in the Barn and we play games, eat pizza (though I am open to food suggestions!), and share stories about our wins and challenges during the week. Any youth in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate! If you are already a member of our church, great! If you have never come to church but are interested, great!  If you have a friend who goes to our church and you have nothing to do on a Thursday night, great! We are a very welcoming group, and would love to see you there! Our first youth group meeting of the year will be on Thursday, September 14th (the first Thursday after Rally Day) from 6:00-7:30.

Parents/guardians, if you have a youth member that you would like to sign up for youth group, or if you would like more information, please feel free to call/text me at (914) 213-1493 or email me. I will also be at Rally Day and would love to talk to you then. Have a great rest of your summer, and I look forward to seeing you all in the fall!
