Welcome Back Sunday, Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for cake and ice cream on Welcome Back Sunday. I hope you took home a booklet of all of our ministries and the flyer for the new Affinity Groups.

Counting the group leaders, we already have 27 interested group members!

For those of you who could not make it or did not have a chance to read about the new Affinity Groups, I would like to share these opportunities with you:

  • Genealogy Geeks: Eileen Brogan, a seasoned genealogy geek, is leading this group. Everyone is welcome – those curious about the subject, beginners geeks and other seasoned geeks. This will be a time for us to get together and do our own research or help others with theirs. We will likely meet in the Annex on a day and time that works for everyone.

  • Board Game Gang: Bruce and Rita Hale will be hosting this fun event in their home. The first session will be Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 pm., featuring a couple easy-to-learn cooperative games. Going forward, games to be chosen by the group.

  • Body, Mind & Spirit: Bill & Jane Preskenis are offering this new one-hour adventure where you will do a bit of easy exercise of your body and mind and then fill your spirit before you go home. This will happen on a Saturday, so everyone is welcome. Dates and times will be listed in the Messenger when available.

  • Duck Pin Bowling: John Thomson is the leader of this event. John is an enthusiastic fan of this sport and is looking for others who are interested in learning or already have a passion for it. The group will determine the place and dates and times.

  • People without Partners: Eileen Brogan, a single person who is tired of eating and attending events alone. This group is for anyone who is single, divorced or widowed and would like to share a meal or perhaps a trip to a local museum or theater. The group will choose the restaurants and events. All are welcome (if you meet the criteria listed above).

If you are interested in joining and have not yet signed up, please reach out to the leader associated with the group that interests you. You may also use the sign-up sheets in Wesley Hall tomorrow morning.
