Understanding SUM Together Initiative: Phase 2 is Underway
Phase 1 is completed.
The 20 representative listening sessions conducted by Pastors Mel and Dennis have been completed. Thank you to all who participated.
Phase 2 is now underway.
The three advisors (retired clergy – Mel Kawakami, Dennis Winkleblack, and Deb Clifford) are busy reviewing the 20 conversation transcripts to identify recurring themes and insights as they try to identify strengths, opportunities, challenges, and differing perspectives based on the wide cross section of the congregation who took part.
Phase 3 is coming soon.
When the three advisors have completed Phase 2, we will move into Phase 3 in which everyone can participate in a church-wide survey (scheduled for late August).
This is just a snapshot of what is going on behind the scenes as we all work together to better understand SUM and our collective needs. Questions?
