2Q25 SUM Financial Update

I’m sitting at my desk looking at the June 30th financial reports for the church and thinking about everything that has happened at SUM during the first six months – now seven months. I feel that we’ve weathered a lot of change, and our financial situation reflects that. Our expenses are slightly below budget, which is a good thing, but our giving is a little behind. Our situation for the year as of the end of June is a negative $11,000.

Earlier in July, we sent out giving statements, so everyone could see their current giving versus what they pledged for this year. If you didn’t receive yours, please email Sammy Samuel (financesec@sumct.org) or Alan Lahue (financedonor@sumct.org), so they can make sure you get it.

We greatly appreciate everyone’s generosity; thank you for your donations. Please let me know if something has come up that may make it difficult for you to fulfill your pledge this year. We know things can happen, and it will help me update the working budget.

Your offerings of time, talent, and gifts are what make all we do at SUM possible – from worship and mission outreach to spiritual care and nurturing. We are deeply grateful for your commitment and support.
